Another Friendly Night

Well... Today was pretty low key and I didn't really do much other than I worked on packet stuff and watch the full 2nd season of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It was actually nice not to have to go anywhere or do anything super important. My mom keeps nagging me about not ever doing anything productive during the day or things to help me in school. I don't think she understands all I do. She never watches what I'm doing and isn't even home a lot of the time so how can she say I don't do anything? Today I managed to work hard on packets, emailed people about my senior project and got our mail. I hung out with Ryan and we both watched Fullmetal as it's our favorite show. My mom was mad that I only watched tv all day and when I tried to say that I did packets and other stuff I ended up being very angry and yelling. I shouldn't have, but I was so tired of hearing her say things like that when I always do more than that. She thinks I act like a 4 year old that needs supervising all the time, but I am very independent and can accomplish a lot on my own. The night went better as I got to watch The Social Network with Kainen and Ryan. I never get tired of those movie nights with friends.

Bad... Then Good

Well... Today I woke up like I normally do, around 8 'o clock. I then got myself to fall back asleep and then was woken up by my mom telling me that it was 9 and she was leaving to have coffee with a friend and that I needed to get up. At about 9:15 I got up and made some tea. I sat in my favorite chair for the morning just thinking and drinking tea for almost and hour! That was a good way to start the morning off. I then went downstairs to check my Facebook and started talking to my older sister Mikele. She told me that I should come up to Salt Lake some weekend and hang out with her cause I obviously get bored sitting at home. It was good to talk to her and catch up with her. I don't talk with her that much because she's a Salt Lake college kid that stays up there and I don't see her much. My mom came home and automatically told me I didn't wake up until 11 and I should have gotten up 2 hours ago. I didn't tell her that I just got up and sat and thought because she would have told me I had better things to do. I came upstairs and was just watching a little tv for no more than half an hour and my mom turned it off and told me I never do packet work and I needed to go do that right now. I told her I have been doing packet work every day and I have been reading two chapters! I went downstairs and finished another chapter. So I got to play on my computer and hang out. I worked on figuring out my senior project and just chilled on facebook. Later tonight Libby Burgon came over and we got to just talk and hang out and watch a movie! We watched Wild Wild West because she had never seen it. I love that movie, but I think she fell asleep after an hour. It was good getting to hang out with her and do something other than sit in my basement all night long. I'm so glad to have friends that will come visit and hang out with me. I'm just so grateful that God put all these people in my life that care about me and are good friends. Life is slowly starting to get a little more normal again other than the minor pain of having broken bones. I still have trouble sleeping because of my broken back, but I think it's getting better. I thank God every day for keeping me safe and giving me such a great life!

Morning Court

Well... This morning was my rescheduled court date. I got there and was right on time! We filled out a little paperwork and went and sat in the courtroom. The judge came in and there were a few people before me. When I finally got up to the stand, he just told me what my infraction was and that I had a warrant because I didn't show up for court last time. He asked me what I wanted to plead and I said not guilty. He scheduled me for a pre-trial on the 26th at 10:30 in the morn. I hope I don't have any doctors appointments or anything like that. The judge had a bad cough and said he had cracked ribs that hurt him, all I thought was "At least you don't have a broken back, skull, shoulder, and thumb." Lol!

Wednesday Night!

Wednesday nights are definitely one of the weeks best nights! I love going to Wednesday night youth group. It is so good to get there and hang out with so many great friends and learn about my relationship with God. Especially in the state I'm in right now, it's good to be there and feel like life is pretty normal again. It was great to see that Kaitlyn came to see what our church group was like, hope she keeps coming! I also brought my bindings that I'm selling to show Heather but, she didn't come. She said she would buy them for $150 if she sold her bindings. I'm not sure if they will fit her feet seeing as they are a mens binding meant for my size of feet. David said he would see how much money he had and that he would buy them for $200! Just plain awesome to see that someone realizes how nice of bindings they are. Hopefully I keep healing up quickly and then I'll be able to do sports and active things!

Sorry

Well... Apologies to my Mom for saying that she got pretty drunk at the party she was at. She didn't plan on it and was having a drink that she didn't think was alcoholic, but it ended up having alcohol in it. No biggie though.

Another Bad Day

Wow... Today had one of the worst beginnings I have ever had! A few months back, I was in a car accident in the canyon because I slid on ice and ended up hitting the front and back of my car into the guard rail. I was issued a ticket for not being able to stay in my lane which made me really mad! It's not my fault that the state didn't plow the roads and I hit their guard rail. After I crashed, I stood on the other side of the road waiting for the cop to get to my crash. After about 5 minutes of standing there a red car slid on the ice and almost crashed right into me! She wasn't issued a ticket! I was told I got a ticket so that the guard rail could get fixed. I set up a court date because I wasn't going to pay the state for not doing something they should have already done. My court date was about a month ago. Sadly, I missed that court date because when I got up, I just thought I had to go to school and forgot about court. We called the courts and they said I had a warrant out and if I got pulled over, I would be arrested. I let my sister drive for a month until my next court date, which I thought was today. My mom had put it in her phone as today at 9:30 in the morning. When we got there, we were told that I was supposed to be there at 8:30 and I was too late now. We were told to call after two and set up another court date. I missed my tutoring with Gwen this morning because of it and I didn't even have it! My next court date is Thursday at 8:30 in the morning in Heber! That means I miss tutoring with Gwen again and I have to wake up early to be at the stupid court. I'm getting just a little sick of our court system!

Oh No!

Today was no bueno! I went to the ear doctor today to see if they could help me hear in my left ear again. Last time I was there they told me that I had fluid behind my eardrum that needed to dissipate. Turns out, there isn't any fluid in my ear. Instead, the little bone behind my eardrum appears to be broken! This means I can't hear out of my left ear until the bone is fixed, which involves surgery! I am scheduled to go into a doctor in Salt Lake that does this surgery all the time, but it's not until next month. So I am 50% deaf right now! If you are ever talking to me and I don't hear you or understand you, don't get mad. It's just my retarded ear. Hopefully things will get better soon!

Productive!

Well... Sunday is probably my favorite day of the week! I love being able to go to church, learn more about my God, be with people I care about and catch up with good friends. Today was a little different than most Sunday mornings. I woke up and got in the tub as usual, then when I came upstairs my dad was at our house cooking us breakfast and he had just scraped our driveway of the new snow. I was a little confused until I found out that the party my Mom was at last night was a little more fun for her than usual. She got pretty drunk and wasn't able to drive herself home. So my dad drove her car to his house and then took her home in his car. He had to come this morning so we would be able to go get her truck and drive to church. We ended up eating a late breakfast and kinda chillin out, so when we got to church we were half an hour late! I always feel weird sitting down when the sermon is already going on and people are trying to listen. Everyone just stares at you and it is awkward. The sermon was about being a giving person and was really good (at least of what we heard). After church we went to my Grandma's house to stop by and talk for a while. When we got there she said that she wanted to buy something for me because of my accident. I told her that they cut off my favorite Levi's in the event and she said she would buy me some new ones! I got on Ebay and found the same pair for only $32.00. When we went to buy them, we ended up being on one of my uncles accounts. He had bought a fair amount of things from Ebay in the past and when you buy things from Ebay you get "Ebay Bucks". The purchase ended up only costing $9! After we left her house we went over to my Dads house for some lunch. He had made us some good chili that was bowled in bread! It was delicious and I ate a lot of it. End of the day we just came home to relax and not do anything else. This has been quite a productive day for me seeing as I don't do much more than sit at home other days!

Great Night!

Well... A night filled with making pancakes, watching cloudy with a chance of meatballs, and making the creepiest noise I've ever made, with Libby Burgon and Kainen Adkins is a night I'll remember! It was such a relief to have friends over and be able to actually do something other than lay in my bed and sit on Facebook. I'm glad I still look mostly normal and not all deformed so I don't scare people away. Thank you God for protecting me during the fall!

Life After Moab

Well... Falling down a mountain is no fun. I hate having broken bones, a deaf left ear, and some kind of "brain injury". I wish I could reverse time and stop myself from falling down a mountain. I can't finish my season of snowboarding, which is very sad seeing as this is the first season I have had a coach and been able to compete. Snowbird usually has an ending day of July 4th! Maybe I'll be able to go on that day. This summer I won't really be able to do much of anything other than watch all my friends have fun. My doctor said that I can't do anything for 3 months due to my brain injury. It sucks that all my favorite things to do include falling and getting hurt. Can't skateboard, bike, motorcycle, jump on the tramp, or anything I like for 3 whole months! Having a cast on my right hand sucks as well because, I can't even use my thumb. Which is a very important thing to use. I can't write, hold my drum stick, use forks with my right hand... Nothing! The one thing that I will take away from this experience as a good memory is, the fact that after my fall, I realized how many friends and people I have around me that care about me and want the best of me. I can also say that this experience has put me a lot closer to God. I can only think that the reason I'm still alive after that fall was because God was protecting me. I hope my recovery is as quick as it has been and I can get back to normal life soon enough. It sucks to have to sit at home all day and not do anything active or see my friends. Hopefully I can get back to school soon and have better days. Hopefully I don't fall down anymore mountains anytime soon.
